No words, no photo, no video can do justice to the environment located at 1815 Metropolitan Street. What we have created here at Manchester Bidwell is more than a mere building – it is an experience. Whether you are interested in taking a tour, becoming a student, or viewing an art exhibition, the first step is getting here.
COVID-19 Update: MBC wants to remain welcoming to those interested in our work while ensuring the safety and security of our staff and students. We are currently conducting tours by appointment only with a limited number of visitors allowed. All visitors must adhere to our safety guidelines by wearing a mask and practicing social distancing. Those interested in booking tours should contact:

We are located in the Manchester/Chateau neighborhood of Pittsburgh.
1815 Metropolitan Street holds our administrative offices, youth art studios, concert hall and recording studio, dining hall and many of our adult career training classrooms.
1600 Metropolitan Street is the Drew Mathieson Center for Horticultural and Agricultural Technology. Founded in part to support the needs of our adult horticulture training students, the Drew Mathieson Center is also part of our social enterprise initiatives. As a wholesale grower, we sell orchids and seasonal crops to grocery stores, florists, event planners and others in the green industry. The DMC is also currently developing youth horticultural and agricultural programming and expanding its educational community outreach.
