Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild has been marking the 20th anniversary of its Metropolitan Street, North Side, facility with a series of events and exhibitions that feature artists who have lectured, exhibited and conducted workshops there. Two artists from the current exhibition, photographers Linda Connor and Lonnie Graham, will give a free public lecture at 6 p.m. tomorrow at the Guild. (more…)

Bill Strickland was a frustrated teenager in 1963. Growing up in the poor and crumbling Pittsburgh neighborhood of Manchester, life offered little hope to a young black kid. The community around him had lost its integrity and character, offering few inspirational role models and even fewer opportunities. (more…)
