Engage with Clay: help fight hunger today

Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, November 12, 2007 – Join Cera[m!x] Pittsburgh, local arts organizations and professional potters from around the region as they come together in the fight against hunger.

As part of Cera[m!x] Pittsburgh’s goal to promote and connect ceramics communities in Western Pennsylvania, Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild (MCG) is working with other Pittsburgh arts organizations to support Empty Bowls—an annual fundraiser locally co-sponsored by Just Harvest and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. Chihuly-Designed “Olympia” Piano Makes a Stop at MCG Jazz This Weekend!

September 24, 2007, Pittsburgh, PA – The Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild will be host to a Dale Chihuly-designed Steinway piano September 27 through October 1, 2007, when it will make a stop in the Guild’s Kerr Gallery. The Gallery is located at 1815 Metropolitan Street inside the Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild, which opens its season of live jazz performance with legends James Moody and Jimmy Scott this weekend. Mix and Mingle at the Launch Reception for Cera[m!x] Pittsburgh

Regional arts organizations and educators join to launch a celebration of ceramic arts on Thursday, August 16, 2007 from 9- 11 a.m.

Pittsburgh, PA – July 30, 2007 – Manchester Craftsmen’s Guild is excited to announce the launch of Cera[m!x] Pittsburgh and the NCECA 2008 Conference.

Cera[m!x] Pittsburgh is a regional celebration of diverse expressions of contemporary ceramic art being developed by a consortium of arts organizations, artists, educators, universities and exhibition venues to raise awareness of ceramic art in Western Pennsylvania. As a highlight of Cera[m!x] Pittsburgh, the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts (NCECA) will hold its annual conference at the David Lawrence Convention Center from March 19-22, 2008. MCG Jazz Celebrates Father’s Day at Children’s Museum

(PITTSBURGH) – MCG Jazz, in partnership with the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, will celebrate Father’s Day with brunch and a special jazz concert featuring notable father-son combos. On Sunday, June 17, 2007, the Father’s Day Jazz event begins with a noon brunch at the Children’s Museum, followed by a live jazz concert at 3:00 p.m. in the New Hazlett Theater. (more…)
